Privacy policy

[LEGAL ENTITY] (“we”) operates hawaiian.jewelry, shop.hawaiian.jewelry and japan.hawaiian.jewelry. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

Order information: name, email, phone, shipping and billing address, the options and engraving text you enter, and order history. Provided by you at checkout.
Payment: handled by Stripe. We receive a payment confirmation and the last four digits of your card; we never receive or store your full card number.
Site usage: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location, and referring site, via Google Analytics and Google Ads tags, and basic server logs from Cloudflare.
Correspondence: emails you send us, proof approvals and change requests.
Reviews: if you choose to leave one — your rating, text, photos, and the display name you pick. Reviews are public on our sites and may be shared with Google’s product-ratings program. If you opt in to Google Customer Reviews on the thank-you page, Google receives your email and order details to send you a survey, under Google’s privacy policy.

Why we use it

To make, ship, and support your order (including emailing you about it).
To collect and remit taxes and keep required business records.
To prevent fraud and secure the Site.
To understand how the Site is used and to measure advertising, with your consent where consent is required.
To reply to you.

Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare (hosting, email delivery, security), Google (analytics and advertising measurement), shipping carriers (delivery), and professional advisers (accounting, legal) as needed. Each processes data under its own privacy terms and only for the purpose we engage it.
Authorities where required by law.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the Google tags described above.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies for the shopping cart (stored in your browser) and for Google Analytics and Google Ads. Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked for consent before analytics or advertising cookies are set; elsewhere you can block cookies in your browser. Google’s own privacy policy applies to data Google collects.

Retention

Order records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally 7 years). Unfinished checkout drafts are deleted after 7 days. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings (14 months).

International transfers

We are located in Hawaiʻi, USA. If you order from outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the US.

Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing email, by writing to aloha@hawaiian.jewelry. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

California residents: you have the rights to know, delete, correct, and to non-discrimination under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by that law. Requests: aloha@hawaiian.jewelry.
Japan residents (日本にお住まいの方): we handle personal information in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (個人情報保護法). Requests for disclosure, correction, or deletion: aloha@hawaiian.jewelry.
EEA/UK residents: our legal bases are performance of a contract (orders), legal obligation (tax records), consent (analytics/advertising cookies), and legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention). You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, store order data with Cloudflare, and never store card numbers. No system is perfectly secure; contact us if you believe your data has been compromised.

Changes

We will post updates here with a new effective date.
